Carter has loved the outdoors all her life and grew up visiting over 12 of National Parks and several State Parks from around the country. Carter moved to Colorado Springs in October 2020 and immediately fell in love with the outdoor culture. As someone who is passionate about rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and water sports, her hope is to give her fellow LGBTQ community members the chance to get outside as well, to try new experiences, and meet new friends.

My name is Brian Koenig and I'm a passionate outdoors enthusiast always looking to become more involved in the outdoor and adventure community. I'm originally from Fargo, ND, but I now live in Lakewood with my two cats Oliver and Nigel after relocating from Minneapolis in 2021.

I find joy in challenging myself out in the wilderness with activities like hiking, backpacking, camping, skiing, paddleboarding, rafting, and more. Even if I haven't tried it before, I would likely say yes!

I joined LGBT+ Outdoors seeking a like-minded community to connect with outdoors. Through this role as a Brand Ambassador, I'm hoping to strike a balance between big adventures and more accessible outings, find moments for education, and create a space for everyone to build community in a way that's authentic to them.

TROY STEADMAN

Westminster, Colorado

Troy loves both the LGBT+ community and the outdoors with a passion, and is excited to better blend both aspects of his life by becoming a LGBT+ Outdoors Ambassador. In his travels he has hiked the swiss alps, seen all the animals on an African Safari, and traversed some of the United States most iconic and scenic national parks. It’s no surprise then that Troy loves living in beautiful Colorado and partaking in the natural beauty that lies therein. He’s excited to plan, coordinate, and meet, the many members of this group!
