Increasing LGBTQIA+ Visibility in the Outdoors

Everyone deserves to be seen and heard, but, oftentimes, the LGBTQIA+ community gets overlooked. As a community we want to feel included and increase visibility of the issues we uniquely face as members of the outdoor community. Whether we’re out on the trails hiking and camping or stepping into stores shopping and working with guides and outfitters, we’re seeking for the freedom to be ourselves and to feel safe.

The LGBT Outdoors Visibility Survey, or LOVS for short, is a survey intended capture the experiences of those in our community to gain more insight about our presence in the outdoors industry. If you’ve ever been harassed or discriminated against, the stories you provide us will serve as a key contribution to raising awareness of these issues. In addition, we genuinely want to learn more about your individual interests and level of engagement with the outdoors.
